ZHONGCHENGToday, ZonCen New Energy kits will talk about the compressor in the air conditioning system. So that everyone can solve the fault faster when repairing the air-conditioning system.
1. The role of the compressor
It is the heart of the automobile air-conditioning refrigeration system, and plays the role of suction, compression and circulation pumps. It is mainly to suck the refrigerant from the low pressure side and compress it to increase its temperature and pressure. Then pump into the high-pressure side and reciprocate.
2. The classification of compressors
Automobile air-conditioning compressors are generally open positive displacement structures. Except for some of them directly driven by auxiliary engines, most of them are connected to the engine by a belt by an electromagnetic clutch.
There are rotary and piston types, as well as ordinary compressors (fixed displacement) and variable displacement compressors. The biggest difference is that one is controlled by an electromagnetic clutch and the other is controlled by an electromagnetic valve.
Several common structure compressors: scroll compressor, swash plate compressor, swash plate compressor
3. Electromagnetic clutch
It is integrated with the pulley of the air-conditioning compressor. When the stator coil passes through without electricity, the pulley is idling. When the stator coil has electricity, the pressure plate is sucked to the right, so that the pressure plate and the pulley are firmly fixed together. The pressure plate rotates with the pulley, and the power is transmitted to the compressor through the input shaft connected to the pressure plate to make it work.
4. Compressor failure
Common failures of general compressors include four types: jamming, leakage, poor operation, and excessive abnormal noise.
1)Poor operation of the compressor: The compressor does not work well, and the compression produces higher-temperature steam, so that the back and forth cycle will scorch the refrigerating oil and cause the compressor to be scrapped.
2)Abnormal noise: mainly caused by slippage when the clutch is engaged or due to loose or worn transmission belt. Poor lubrication of the transmission pulley bearing can also cause abnormal noise.
3)Stuck: Stuck means that the compressor cannot rotate when it is stuck. The cause of seizure is usually poor lubrication or lack of lubrication. If the clutch or transmission belt is found to be slipping, after troubleshooting the clutch and transmission belt, it is usually caused by the compressor jam.
4)Leakage: Leakage is also a common failure of compressors. There are two types of compressor leakage: oil leakage and gas leakage. The leakage is minor and only leaks the refrigerant; when it is severe, it leaks both refrigerant and refrigerating machine oil. If cracks appear on the cylinder of the compressor to cause leakage, the compressor should be replaced.
